Freshman Fifteen?

Its apparently a big deal this "freshman fifteen". I was completely prepared to gain some weight, but so far I've seen only poor results. Actually I haven't seen much of a change in my weight but a wavering five pounds, and I'm pretty sure that was from the summer. My eating habits have some what changed, I mean I eat lunch and dinner and a snack once in a while... except for the whole eating meat thing. Perhaps that is the cure for the freshman fifteen- eat less meat. Its proven to be much healthier given you get an amble amount of protein and veges. Have I convinced you yet?

Vegetarianism: easy on the wallet and the scale.

  1. I'm convinced. I'm going to do it. However, I still dont know what it entitles to be a vegetarian. What am I allowed or not allowed to eat?

  2. It definitely depends on what kind of vegetarian you are willing to be. If you want to take the vegetarian thing in steps you could start off by being a pescetarian, which is a person who won't eat any meat- flesh or ligament of an animal- except for fish. A traditional vegetarian does not eat any animal flesh or ligaments, whether that animal live on land or sea. Traditionally vegetarians DO eat/drink animal products such as cheese, eggs and milk. However, if you don't want to do that either, you would consider yourself to be a vegan.
Hope this helps and good luck!
